I am thrilled to have been awarded a 2017 Fellowship at the Katharine Susannah Prichard (KSP) Writers Centre. As one of 12 recipients, this two-week residency will give me the luxury of precious time to further develop my current long-form manuscript, a fiction project with the provisional title All That Glitters.
Shannon Doyle, director of KSP Centre, says in her email: “On behalf of the KSP Foundation Board of Management it is my pleasure to congratulate you on your successful application. The Selection Panel was impressed by your writerly dedication and intrigued with your project. We are proud to support its development by offering a Fellowship.”

Criteria:
The Panel will be looking for compelling projects with developmental potential, and writers who demonstrate commitment to and a clear vision for their projects, with a focus on representing a diversity of genders, ages and genres across the annual program of Fellows. If funding is available, the Mentorship Awards will be presented to applicants who display exceptional promise as a writer, in both their writing/illustrating skills and proposed Fellowship project.
It’s a lovely note to end the year! My thanks to the KSP Selection Panel ( KSP’s Literary Advisory Committee and the KSP Board of Management). Feeling grateful, excited, and a little daunted!
