All new surrounds

This is my first post in eons – in fact I missed posting in October all together! I’ve been on the move… having relocated from Fairfield to Hurstbridge, an hour’s commute from Melbourne’s CBD. Moving is hectic and exhausting (as if we don’t all know) the upshot being that my writing brain hasn’t switched back on yet. But I have every faith (?) that it will! (please please please…)

Meanwhile my short listing for the 2012 edition of the literary journal Page Seventeen is still current, with the anthology being launched 18th Nov, when the winners will also be announced. So stay tuned… I’ll upload the short story, Helen Shoots the Messenger, shortly (or you can always buy the anthology, better still!)

Here’s a photo of my new surrounds: just around the corner from my house and part of an hour-long walking circuit – so easily seduced here by the bush, or staring at the mountain ranges from my back balcony…

More soon. Julie x
